The DVD helps you and your neighbours come up with a practical plan to tame the traffic in your street. You can watch it alone, then pass it on. Or a group of you can watch it over a glass of wine. Or you can have an outdoor showing and project it onto the side of someone's house!

You will learn five techniques for taming traffic. After each technique is explained, you pause the DVD and discuss how you may use that technique in your street.

The DVD also shows you how to organise two powerful events:

A Street Reclaiming Party helps you rebuild the social life of your street and will have an effect on traffic speed even when the party is over. David gives you hints on how to avoid some common pitfals and get the most out of the event.

A Traffic Tamers (or Civility Outbreak) Play Day helps participants come up with a highly creative action plan to make their street and city a better place to live. This is a fun process that releases high levels of creative energy in your street.

Both these events do far more than just tame traffic. They build the social life of the street and empower residents to create a positive future.

To help run these programs in your neighborhood, we give you free access to our downloads area, where you can download party invitations, worksheets, Pace Car signs, and Car Key Guards. (If you develop your own materials, send us the artwork so we can share it with others.)
